Quick Answer

Where in Event Mosquito Control does Texan Mosquito Systems install misting systems?

Event mosquito control in Houston TX covers one-off outdoor gatherings, weddings, charity galas, backyard parties, corporate events, photo shoots, with portable misting installs set up the day before and struck the day after. For recurring-event venues, Texan Mosquito Systems also installs permanent systems with on-demand burst overrides synced to the event calendar.

Why It Works

Set, fire, strike.

An outdoor event has one shot. The bride is not rescheduling. The gala chair has 400 guests arriving. The photographer needs the magic-hour window or the shoot is over. Mosquito coverage either works for the four-hour event window or it does not, there is no second visit. Event installs are designed for that single performance.

Texan Mosquito Systems offers two paths. Portable installs come in the day before, set up around the event footprint, fire a heavy pre-event burst 60 minutes before guests arrive, and strike the next morning. Permanent installs at recurring venues run a normal misting system year-round with calendar-synced burst overrides for each event.

Same family-owned Texas crew on portable rigs and permanent venues alike. Licensed, insured, COI on file. Set, fire, strike.

The Build

Portable rig or permanent venue.

Event installs come in two forms with different logistics but the same hardware family. Portable rigs are deployed and recovered around a single event window. Permanent installs at recurring venues live on the property and fire calendar-synced overrides. Both run the same plant-based pyrethrum, the same nozzle and pump hardware, and the same family-owned Texas crew, what changes is the deployment cycle.

Every event build begins with a site visit with the planner or venue ops lead, mapping the event footprint, identifying tent perimeters, ceremony arches, dance-floor edges, and bar stations. Nozzle placement is hand-set against guest movement zones, with bursts aimed inward toward landscape edges, never at seating or food stations.

For portable rigs: deployment the day before with a pre-event heavy burst 60 minutes before guests arrive, suppression during the event, optional mid-evening top-up burst during the dinner break, and strike the next morning. For permanent venues: existing installed system fires a calendar-synced override schedule keyed to the event timeline. Either way, the property file documents every burst.

What the planner gets at handoff: site diagram, COI issued to the venue or host, agent SDS sheet, and a printed burst-time schedule for the event window. One performance, fully covered.

The Process

Four phases. Event window.

COI on file before doors open.

Yes, portable misting rigs are deployed for single outdoor events: weddings, charity galas, backyard parties, corporate gatherings, photo shoots. Setup happens the day before, the rig fires a heavy pre-event burst 60 minutes before guests arrive, suppresses during the event, and is struck the morning after. One performance, fully covered.

Three to four weeks ahead is comfortable for most Houston weddings; six weeks is ideal during peak season (April–October). Last-minute bookings (under a week) are sometimes possible during off-peak. Call (713) 257-9125 with your date and venue and we will scope availability and a site-visit window quickly.

Permanent installs at recurring-event venues (event lawns, country clubs, banquet halls, vineyards) run a year-round misting system with calendar-synced burst overrides keyed to the event timeline. The venue ops director loads the next month’s event schedule into the controller, and the system fires pre-event heavy bursts on auto. Standing maintenance keeps the system tuned between events.

No. Portable rigs are placed at the perimeter (landscape edges, tent rigging, fence lines) where they read as event infrastructure rather than visible spray equipment. The plant-based pyrethrum has a faint citrus-grass scent during the burst window that fully dissipates within 15 to 20 minutes, well before guests arrive. The 60-minute pre-event burst is timed for that buffer.

Yes, the agent is the same plant-based pyrethrum used on residential and restaurant installs, food-safety-grade once dry. Nozzle aim is set away from food stations, beverage bars, and active seating. The pre-event burst clears the area well before any food is plated or any cocktail is poured. SDS available on request.

Yes, certificates of insurance are issued to the venue, planner, or host as a standard part of every event install handoff. Coverage includes general liability and worker’s comp, with the COI delivered before any equipment is set up. Texas applicator license, EPA registration, and SDS sheets are included in the same package.

Rain coordination is part of the planner conversation. Light rain typically does not affect the system; heavy rain can wash out the pre-event burst, in which case the rig fires a recovery burst once the rain stops. For events with rain-day backup-tent plans, the rig is repositioned to the alternate footprint at no additional charge. The crew stays in contact with the planner through the event window.

Yes, the event service area covers Houston and the broader metro (Katy, Sugar Land, The Woodlands, Cypress, League City, Pearland, Spring) and DFW (Dallas, Plano, Frisco, Fort Worth, Arlington, Allen, McKinney). Same family-owned Texas crew on every event setup, residential or commercial. Permanent installs at recurring venues run on the same standing service route as our other commercial accounts.
